How to use Figma for Jira Pro

  • To add a Figma design to a Jira issue, open the issue view and click on Apps.

  • Upon clicking on Apps, Jira will show you installed apps that can be added to the Issue view

  • Select the Figma for Jira app.

  • Upon clicking on Figma for Jira a new Figma for Jira issue panel appears.
    After adding the app, the Figma for Jira section will become available on all existing Jira issues.

  • Navigate to Figma and open the Figma design that you would like to attach to the Jira issue.

  • In Figma, click on the Share button. In the dialog, click on Copy link in the top right corner.

  • Paste the URL of your Figma design into the input box & click on the Add button

  • In order to attach Figma designs to Jira issues, Figma for Jira needs access to the Figma API. If you haven’t previously done so, you will be asked to fill in your Figma Personal Access Token upon adding a new design.

  • After successfully saving your token, the app will start loading your Figma design.

  • The Figma design has now been added to your issue

Due to Jira Cloud limitations, it is currently not possible to add Figma designs upon creating a new issue.
